Our mission is to provide holistic programming for men, women, and children that transforms the causes and consequences of domestic violence

Our Method - Partner Abuse Response Groups

At Counterpoint, our Partner Assault Response (PAR) program provides court-mandated psycho-educational counselling services to men who have been abusive to their partners. Services are provided in English and Spanish, and Counterpoint has pioneered culturally- based programming that responds to the particular context of the Spanish speaking community. Both the English and Spanish PAR programs provide group counselling, screening for drugs and alcohol, risk assessment and referrals for PAR participants who may need additional support.

In 2015, Counterpoint served 465 clients in its Men’s PAR Program, with 52 participating in our . Of this number, a total of 52 participated in the Spanish-speaking Men's Program. We are the only agency in Toronto that offers PAR programming in Spanish are pleased to report that the Spanish program continues to receive popular support in the community and steady referrals for service.

Celebrating International Women's Day with a Self -Care Workshop

Thanks to Shoppers Drug Mart Life Foundation who supported us at our "Self Care Day Event", celebrating International Women's Day. On March 19, 2014 we were able to celebrate our diversity and continue empowering women to move on in their lives in a loving and caring environment through a Self- care workshop that was open to the community.
